DESCRIPTION:Join us as we celebrate and explore the courage\, resilience\, and lasting impact of the Buffalo Soldiers — African American servicemen who served with distinction in every major American war and played a significant role in shaping the United States. \n\n\nFollowing the Civil War\, Congress established six all-African-American Army units\, including the famed 9th and 10th Cavalry and the 24th and 25th Infantry Regiments. \n\n\nCome learn\, reflect\, and celebrate a powerful chapter of our nation’s story. \n\n  \nThis performance is held outside and may be modified or cancelled due to inclement weather or fire bans.  \n  \nLimited space | Registration opens on April 15th and will close on June 24th or earlier if capacity is reached.

DESCRIPTION:Schweiger Ranch has teamed up with South Suburban Parks & Recreation District to provide free\, guided walking tours led by professional naturalists from SSPRD. These tours offer insight and education into the natural environment on and around Schweiger Ranch\, while offering a chance to get some fresh air and exercise. \nJoin us as we walk to a peaceful spot on the trail to experience the rising full moon.  We’ll watch and listen for bats as they leave the barn at nightfall.  We will return to the parking lot by the light of the full moon\, using our human night vision. \nThis event is held outside and will be modified or canceled due to inclement weather or poor walking conditions. \n  \nLimited space | Registration opens on April 1st and will close on June 25th or earlier if capacity is reached.
